MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

The 25th of December is the day when millions of people around the world celebrate Christmas. The 24th of December marks Christmas Eve and this is the time to finish last minute preparations, hang the stockings over the fireplace and put the presents under the tree. In the United States, children often put a few cookies and a mug of milk near the Christmas tree, where Santa Clause can see them and have a little snack. It is believed that Santa Clause travels in a big sleigh which is pulled by reindeer. Most people around the world know who Santa is, he is one of the most well-loved characters in modern day Christmas. Santa's troop of reindeer visit households and deliver presents and joy, but do most of us actually know where this image came from?
One of the most famous songs is about Rudolph the red nose reindeer! Rudolph is famous alright, but he wasn't one of the original reindeer. However, children love him and he now leads Santa's sleigh.

We would like to share the lyrics to this great Christmas song and wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2018!

You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen,
you know Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen,
But do you recall,
The most famous reindeer of all
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Had a very shiny nose
And if you ever saw it
You would even say it glows
All of the other reindeer
Used to laugh and call him names
They never let poor Rudolph
Join in any reindeer games
Then one foggy Christmas Eve
Santa came to say,
Rudolph with your nose so bright
Won't you guide my sleigh tonight
Then how all the reindeer loved him,
As they shouted out with glee,
Rudolph the red-nosed Reindeer,
You'll go down in history!

Merry Christmas everybody!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Halloween is an annual celebration which happens on the 31st of Octover. It is dated back to the Celtic people who celebrated a festival called Samhain. This festival was connected with collecting the harvest and the end of fall. The Celts believed that winter brought death, thus creating many superstitions connected with death. People would light bonfires (they would put bones into the big fires for sacrifice), wear costumes to word of ghosts. In the 8th century, Pope Gregory III designated November 1 as a time to honor all saints. Soon, All Saints Day incorporated some of the traditions of Samhain. The evening before was known as All Hallows Eve and over time it was shortened to the word we now use- Halloween.

Americans celebrate this holiday since about the 1920s and put on costumes, masks and have lots of fun! Trick-o-treating for kids, corn mazes, pumpkin carving are all part of this fun filled day.

Happy Halloween everybody:)

Самосовершенствование в Сентябре 2017!

September is the National Self-Improvement Day in the United States.

We all want to be better, do better and feel better. There are various aspects of our lives that we would like to work on, but always have some reason why we should start on "Monday". However, September is giving us that chance to finally make some positive changes and do the things that we have been putting off or dreaming about. So, what can you do this month in order to self improve?

Here are some great ideas:

1. Read that book which you have been putting off for so long

2. Learn better time management to help you get more out of life

3. Learn to say "yes" or "no" more!

4. Join a charity organization and volunteer this month

5. Learn something new. I can be driving a car, a new language or something else which you have always wanted to try

6. Try to finish what you start

7. Get more exercise and start eating healthy food

8. Quit smoking

9. Learn to be greatful

10. Find "me" time every day

We hope that this September will be a great time for you!
